School's Out for the Summer! lets learn?

💁Guess what mama's? School is out for at least 2 months! does that make you nervous? 👀Or excited? Or both? That means more responsibility for working moms to try to find child care while they work, and for us stay at home moms that's added responsibility too, For one he ate breakfast and lunch at school during the week so now I have to do that, and of course if you have a kid like mine that is "bored" all the time, we have to have something for those little kiddos to do to get out of our hair am I right? lol ✊ I am excited to be spending the summer with my first born baby boy, now his little brother will have him during the day to play with, Having a 10 year old and a 10 month old it's like I am starting all over but I honestly love it. Also I don't know about you but when I was a kid I would forget sometimes what I had learned that year over the summer.

School gave my 10 year old who just graduated the 4th grade a book that he can work on during the summer. I love it. it has stickers in the back for moms to put for completed work, comes with an answer key in the back, (make sure they don't peek at that lol) Has detachable flash cards, has math, writing and reading, Also has the days marked like Day 1 Day 2 etc...I just think this was such a good idea and honestly don't think I would have thought about doing school work while on summer vacation but this is such a good idea to keep brushed up on what he has already learned to be prepared for the upcoming school year. Still can't believe he will be in the 5th grade, seems just like yesterday he was starting kindergarten.... (please ignore my foot in the photo, I know I need to do my toenails! lol) Here is the book:

Cleaning House:

How in the world do moms clean their house, take care of the kids, plus look fantastic them self? you know what I am talking about, the perfect looking moms on Instagram that look like they just stepped out of a perfectly photo-shopped magazine? they drive me nuts because that is so not real life! I do what I can each day to keep the house clean, and I am one of those people who are on the verge of being OCD so it really bothers me when there is any type of mess. I have a 10 month old and a 10 year old and they both come with their own set of messes lol. well today I decided to get up and clean, and thank goodness its the first day of summer for my 10 year old because he helped me watch the baby while I vacuumed and moped, it had been way too long since I moped and I can't stand a dirty floor, but then I looked at the bed and was like oh I need to wash the blankets and sheets, so I threw those in the wash real quick (just now as I am writing this I realize the sheets and blankets are still in the wash) So I did that and my washer is right beside the bathroom, and oh my goodness that needed to be cleaned too so I garbed the cleaner and go to clean the bathroom, all while my kids are in the living room and the baby is being really good playing with his brother in the floor which is rare because he is usually right with me, My point is how can I keep cleaning and stay focused at the task at hand? like oh my goodness something as simple as cleaning can be so overwhelming sometimes, and getting distracted to cleaning other things. I am a stay at home mom, I have worked in the past before I got pregnant with my youngest. They are both very equally hard. because even if a mother works she still has to come home and do everything. Here are some tips that I found online that might help me out next time, and maybe you?

I am introducing myself with this very first post. My name is Shauna I am 31 years old, originally from North Carolina but I now reside in WV, I am a stay at home mother of 2 wonderful boys, one is 10 years old and the other is 10 months old so it's like I am starting all over again, but being a young mother has taught me a lot of do's and don'ts so being a "start over" mother in my 30's is such a blessing for me especially since I did experience a miscarriage before I had him. I also suffer from anxiety but I try not to let that define who I am as a person or as a mother. I have my good days and bad days but we all have something that we struggle with. I like baking and trying new recipes, I love to explore new things and places and I like to review stuff online and try new products, I have recently got an Influenster and BzzAgent account these places help look through all the good and bad products out there and they give real feedback from people like me. This blog is going to be all about different things from recipes I've tried or failed at. Different products I'm trying at the moment or places I have and will explore, and of course my kids, I am still debating on whether I want to post their pictures or not but I will be talking about them. Having them be so different in age and me being a different age when I had them both is unique and I love sharing my experience with it. I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I love doing it.
